Greetings, Youth Families! Spring is almost here! We have some community building & service events coming up and a few week-long summer opportunities for youth to check out. I am so honored to be leading this group of wonderful young people. If your tween/teen hasn’t had a chance to get to know our funny, progressive, thoughtful youth, they are great and always ready to welcome people into the fold. Venmo $10 to @Natasha-Ulack or bring cash for dinner.  We’ll head to dinner & Game On for a vintage game show challenge. Saturday, 3/23, 5:00-8:30 pm Easter Prep & Pizza Youth meet at the church during PNO. Help put out games. Hide eggs & decorate for the Easter Festival. Sunday, 3/24, 12:00-2:30 pm Easter Festival Game Leaders Youth volunteer to lead the courtyard game & help with the egg hunt. Sign Up Here Saturday, 3/16, 7:15 am – Sunday, 3/17, 11:00  am 30 Hour Famine & Lock-In Attendees will begin the fast at home at 5:00 am and meet at the church at 7:15 am to help with Open Door. We will be doing service projects and reflecting on the importance of food security with activities & games. On Sunday, we will break our fast with breakfast. You can learn more here. We’ll swim, hike, make meals & roast marshmallows. Volunteer to Drive or Assist Summer Registration Sign Up Here Tuesday, 5/28- Friday, 5/31 10:00 am-3:00pm VCC Service Camp Spend your first week of summer helping Jillian, Natasha, and Chad build a “city” for this year’s VCC. We’ll be painting, gluing, building, cutting & much more. Bring your lunch. Come one day or all days. We need all the help we can get. Volunteer Here Monday, 6/3- Friday, 6/7 9:00 am-4:00pm VCC Volunteer Leaders & Youth Adventures Remember your time as a VCC kid? Now is your chance to be one of the leaders you admired during the week. You will be assigned as a group assistant or activity assistant for VCC from 9-12:30, and then we’ll head out for our own youth adventures in the afternoon. Register Now Saturday, 7/6- Sunday, 7/14 “Be the Neighbor” Mission Trip to St. Louis Youth in 8th-12th grade are welcome to join us for our "Be the Neighbor" mission trip in St. Louis, where we will learn about race & reconciliation. The focus will be on the Delmar Divide and how it is both a real division in the city and a symbol of racism. We will learn about its effects on the lives of a community and individuals. The cost is $350 per attendee. The deadline to register is April 1st.  Learn more here. Register Now Monday, 7/22-Friday, 7/26, 9:00-3:00 “Level Up” Camp This camp is made for UUMC’s rising tweens (4th and 5th) and Embers (6th and 7th) to build community & have fun. Please take a look here to see what we have planned. The cost is $160/kiddo for the week, which includes snacks, lunch, and all adventures. The deadline to register is April 1. 12-20 Participants.
