Greetings, Youth Families: I added some new dates to our fall calendar in the spirit of community and support. These latest events allow the youth to cheer each other on in their lives outside of church. Whether it’s a play, senior night, art show, or sports game, we want the youth to feel the love. Please let me know if your youth has a special event we could attend. We hope you see your youth soon as we continue to build community and do our best to learn & live out our values that our church holds dear. Natasha Ulack Youth Director natasha@uumc.org | 512-673-9785 Next Up for MYF Sign Up Here Sunday, 11/03, 1:00 pm-3:30 pm Youth Olympics Meet in the courtyard after service, eat lunch at UUMC & we’ll head over to the Smith’s backyard in Cherrywood for our annual Youth vs. Tween Olympics. Pick up at UUMC at 3:30. Sunday, 11/17, 12:00 pm-2:30 pm Gussy Up UUMC It’s service Sunday. Wear clothes made for mess. We’ll be painting and putting some love into our building to prepare for the Advent season. We’ll eat lunch here and play a game after we work. Sunday, 12/01, 4:30 pm-7:30 pm Coco & Crepes We are taking a holiday field trip to Crepe Crazy, where almost all of the employees are deaf and the hearing people are required to know sign language. We’ll get some yummy food, grab a hot chocolate and walk the trail together for our last gathering of 2024. Sunday, 12/15, 2:00 pm-2:30 pm Advent Festival Volunteering All hands on deck for the annual Advent Festival at UUMC. Help lead a craft, decorate a cookie or anything that Jillian needs us to do. Meet at UUMC & we’ll head to the Bible Stadium to celebrate our very own percussion leader, Kalia Handy-Bosma’s SENIOR NIGHT! Saturday, 11/09 3:30-6:30 pm Baylor’s Big Game Meet at UUMC and we’ll head north to see Baylor’s serious soccer skills in action. Tuesday, 11/05 11:00-8:00 Election Connection If your youth dosen’t have school on election day and they want to spend the day in community with their church friends, send them this way! Check out the schedule here. Friday, 11/09 7:30-10:30 Youth Parent: Backyard Hang Youth parents, come hang out by the fire in the Ulack's backyard. Bring your favorite beverage or nibble or just bring yourselves. Looking forward to a kid-free catch-up. Email natasha@uumc.org for the address. Friday 12/13 @ 7:30 pm - Saturday 12/4 @ 11:00 am Youth Christmas Lock-In & Service All youth are welcome to our anual Christmas Lock-in.
