Hi friends, I hope you all are settling into the school year. I pray that you celebrate the wins and move through the hard moments with the assurance that you have people in your corner here at UUMC. I’m cheering each of you on! Check out what is happening this month below. I will have our yearly calendar on the first floor if you haven’t already picked one up! For those that already have it, there is one correction: Vacation Church Camp is June 2-6. There is a lot going on at church, but there are also so many awesome events going on in the Austin area for families. I want to lift up the Touch-a-Truck event on September 14th. This is a fundraising event for SAFE Alliance and it’s a super fun day for the whole family! If you’re interested, head here for tickets. All are welcome to join Mx. AV at 9:45 am in the chapel to learn a song for the service. We will be lead by children of all ages in worship and 2nd graders will be presented with their bibles, so save the date! Tween Time to follow! Parents’ Night Out 9/7 @ 5 pm - 8:30 pm Join Jillian and friends for a night of crafts, STEM, games, pizza and a movie for just $15! This month is Olympics themed. You have one more day to sign up! RSVP HERE Tween Time 9/15 @ 12 - 2:30pm All youth and tweens (4th-5th grade) meet Jillian and Natasha in the Fellowship Hall. We'll gather to eat lunch and catch up, then we'll work together to make dinner and care packages for our college kids.
