Featured Events PRIDE PARADE | 8/12 We’re so excited to march THIS SATURDAY in support of the queer community, and we’d love for you to join us! Learn more Worship | Sunday  @ 11:00 am Online or In-Person Join us for worship Sunday, August 8th for Back to School Sunday. Pastor Teresa continues the sermon series “Old Testament Families of the Bible” and the scripture lesson is about the brothers Jacob and Esau. The Sanctuary Choir sings Sister Sledge’s “We Are Family” arranged by Audrey Snyder. On this Sunday before a new school year, Children’s Director Jillian Moore will lead a Blessing of the Backpacks. All children and youth are welcome to participate so plan to bring your backpacks to worship! Following worship we’ll celebrate with Amy’s Ice Cream.  “There is a time to wake up because the world needs us. The shofar is like your heartbeat. We listen to it and realize our lives are holy and they matter. Think about the gifts you have and what the world might need from you.” – Rabbi Neil Blumofe of Congregation Agudas Achim in Austin, TX Back to School Sunday | 8/13 This Sunday, we’ll also be celebrating the start of a new school year! Children’s Sunday School returns and the annual Parent’s Meeting will be in the chapel. Mary Ellen West will join the Youth Sunday School class to discuss how to cope with nerves as they begin a new school year. We’ll have a blessing of the backpacks during worship, and after - ice cream in the courtyard! Learn more News Mission & Justice Fair It’s time for another Mission and Justice fair, where UUMC’s ministries get a chance to share ways for you to serve and volunteer! This year, we’re bringing back the pie contest too. Mark your calendars for September 10, and join us for a fun afternoon discovering ways to get involved at UUMC.
