 | Service of WorshipSunday | 11 amScripture: Isaiah 43:1-5a; 16-19Join us for worship this Sunday at 11 am as we begin a new sermon series for the Stewardship Season. Our theme this year is “People of Possibility” and Pastor Teresa’s sermon centers on Isaiah 43:19, “I am about to do a new thing; now it springs forth; do you not perceive it?” The Sanctuary Choir will share a choral arrangement of “Morning Has Broken” and we welcome our Stewardship speaker Janice Jones who will share in worship. Janice is a longtime member of UUMC and an active member of Guilders, a United Women of Faith circle. |

|  | Our 2024-2025 Confirmation Class met with their mentors for the first time on Sunday, September 15. The Confirmands and Mentors played some “getting-to-know-you” games before beginning their topic of the day. |

|  | Megan took the college students out on Sunday for an iconic Austin adventure: The South Congress Bats! They met up with the students of Texas Wesley for a boat excursion to get the best viewing experience. |

Welcome for Bishop Cynthia Fierro Harvey |
|  | Our new bishop, Cynthia Fierro Harvey, will be at a series of Bishop’s Gatherings across the conference. There will be an opportunity to learn more about Bishop Harvey, and for her to learn more about the people of the Rio Texas Conference. Everyone is welcome to attend, but they ask that you register ahead of time. The Austin gathering will be October 24 at Bethany UMC. |
