Greetings, Youth Families! It was terrific seeing so many of your tweens and teens this fall. My ongoing goal for the 2023-24 year is to reconnect with those we haven’t seen since COVID and for those middle and high schoolers to find community as part of a welcoming, thoughtful group of young people. We have many community-building and enriching events coming up in 2024. The youth and I look forward to seeing your tween or teen soon! Sign Up Here Monday, 2/19, 2:00-6:00 pm OWL: 11th & 12th Grade Curriculum Kelly & Natasha welcome all 11th & 12th graders to a 4-hour workshop in the youth rooms focusing on “must-know” topics regarding sex, safety, STIs, pregnancy, how to help, sexual assault & what you need to know before you are on your own. Snacks provided. Sunday, 2/25, 12:00-1:30   Lunch & Learn: Reproductive Justice Meet Natasha in the Fellowship Hall for a church-wide lunch and learn about reproductive justice. Learn More Sign Up Here Saturday, 3/16, 7:15- Sunday, 3/17,11:00 30 Hour Famine & Lock-In Attendees will begin the fast at home at 5:00 am and meet at the church at 7:15 am to help with Open Door. We will be doing service projects and reflecting on the importance of food security with activities & games. On Sunday, we will break our fast with breakfast. You can learn more here. Volunteer to Drive or Assist Summer Registration Register Now Saturday, 7/6- Sunday, 7/14 “Be the Neighbor” Mission Trip to St. Louis Youth in 8th-12th grade are welcome to join us for our "Be the Neighbor" mission trip in St. Louis, where we will learn about race & reconciliation. The focus will be on the Delmar Divide and how it is both a real division in the city and a symbol of racism. We will learn about its effects on the lives of a community and individuals. The cost is $350 per attendee. The deadline to register is April 1st.  Learn more here. Register Now Monday, 7/22-Friday, 7/26, 9:00-3:00 “Level Up” Camp This camp is made for UUMC’s rising tweens (4th and 5th) and Embers (6th and 7th) to build community & have fun. Please take a look here to see what we have planned. The cost is $160/kiddo for the week, which includes snacks, lunch, and all adventures. The deadline to register is April 1. 12-20 Participants.
