All things Youth for August & September at UUMC

Greetings, Youth Families: The new school year is almost here. We’d love to see you for our Kick-Off on Sunday, August 18th, at 9:45. We are having tacos in the courtyard after a youth and children’s 2024-25 info-gathering session in the chapel. There will also be a backpack blessing during worship and a UUMC Ministry Fair with pies after worship! I can’t wait to see you there. We’ll go to dinner at Cabo Bobs and then head to Urban Air. Pick up at UUMC at 8:00. The dinner cost is $12/youth. Bring trampoline socks if you have them to save on cost (Bring Cash or Venmo @Natasha-Ulack). RSVP using the “Sign Up Here” button so we can plan for transportation. Sunday, 9/15, 12:00 pm-2:30 pm College Care Packages & Meal Prep Our service activity will be making Halloween Care Packages for UUMC graduates and preparing dinner for Megan’s UUMC UT Students. After we wrap up, we’ll play some games. Lunch will be provided. Special Events Sunday, 8/18 9:45-11:00 Back to School Orientation Join us in the chapel (1st floor) from 9:45-10 to learn what is happening at UUMC for Youth & Children this school year. Breakfast tacos, community time, and the opportunity to find a Sunday School Class in the courtyard from 10-11. Blessing of the Backpack during the service & UUMC Ministry Fair (with Pie!) after church. Saturday, 8/24 5:00-9:00 Shareholders Prep Night Mission Trip Crew, it’s “go time.” We will meal prep, decorate the Fellowship Hall, and make the slide show. Dinner will be provided. Sunday, 8/25 12:00-2:30 Shareholders Thank You Lunch, Presentation & Open House Mission Trip Crew will share experiences, stories, photos & the restyled youth rooms with our Shareholders.
