| Austin MarathonTHIS SUNDAY!This Sunday is the Austin Marathon, which means street closures and extra traffic! The race goes right down Guadalupe, which directly impacts getting to church Sunday morning. We have routes to church and a race map on our website to help you get here.
Give yourself plenty of time to get to church, maybe even more than you think you will need. If you get here “too early,” take a few minutes and cheer on the runners as they cross in front of the church! | |

| Worship | Sunday @ 11 am Online or In-PersonJoin us for worship as we begin the journey of Lent. Pastor Teresa will begin a new sermon series inspired by the book “Hope is Here: Spiritual Practices for Pursuing Justice and the Beloved Community” by Luther Smith, Jr. Throughout Lent, we will start worship with a prayer of confession.
On this first Sunday, the Gospel lesson is Mark’s account of the temptation of Jesus in the wilderness and the sermon title is “A Song of Hope” and Children’s Director Jillian Moore will “bury the Alleluia’s” with the children. We also welcome Ray Williams and Melissa Wiginton who will share about the power of storytelling as well as Chad Seales who will share about food insecurity among University of Texas Students. Our Lenten Special Offering will go to assist the food pantry at UTOutpost, an on campus food pantry supplying food-insecure students with free food. | “What songs do you sing through joyful and troubling times? The question is not ‘Can you carry a tune?’ but ‘Do you have a tune that carries you?’” – Luther Smith, Jr. |
